Vintage Delicates early 2000s black chiffon maxi slip gown

Vintage Delicates early 2000s black maxi slip gown, made from semi-sheer polyester chiffon with a fine, slightly grainy texture and a soft, fluid drape. The chiffon has a little more weight than a typical lightweight chiffon, allowing the fabric to fall smoothly and softly against the body.

Designed with a V-neckline beautifully trimmed with black ribbonwork floral appliqué. The bust is constructed from a double layer of chiffon, providing more coverage than the body of the gown, although it may still appear slightly semi-sheer from certain angles or when viewed against strong backlighting.

Features an open V-back finished with matching ribbonwork floral appliqué at the center. A separate removable tie can be threaded through the loops and tied as desired, or the gown can be worn without it. The shoulder straps are fixed and non-adjustable.

Exceptionally long with a flowing floor-length silhouette and a softly pooling hem. A triangular godet insert at the back hem provides additional room for movement while creating a subtle, graceful flare at the bottom.
